OTTAWA (Reuters) – Transportation Canada is re-examining the validation it gave Boeing Co’s 737 MAX jets, pursuing stories of a U.S. probe into the aircraft’s certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Canadian Transportation Minister Marc Garneau mentioned on Monday.
Garneau informed reporters in Ottawa that Transportation Canada could not receive any motion but thinks it would be sensible to re-take a look at the validation of the jet, which has been grounded through the earth for fundamental basic safety problems pursuing the crash of an Ethiopian plane.
Canada acknowledged the FAA’s March 2017 certification of the MAX beneath a offer particularly in which these styles of approvals by the United States are acknowledged by Canada and vice versa.
